Here's the latest installment of the Joshua tree photography series.
Spring in Joshua tree yields some interesting wildflowers, amazing weather, and awesome climbing as always. The crowds were a bit annoying, as we were unable to secure a campsite in Hidden valley. But luckily arriving around midday got us a site in Jumbo Rocks. Those that arrived after 5pm on thurs were not so lucky, because I picked up on of the last ones of a handful. According to the rangers, easter weekend is one of the busiest of the year. Its certainly perfect weather for the desert. Even around 2pm in the afternoon, its about 70 in the shade and low 80's in the sun. The climbing was awesome, as always. I set up top ropes at Thin Wall in the real hidden valley. Pretty good variation in difficulty, yet challenging.
